Creative Journals & Workbooks for Mindful Self-Discovery
Design, Layout, and Original Illustration
This collection includes four self-published books designed to encourage mindful creativity, emotional exploration, and self-awareness. Rooted in my training as an art therapist, these resources are not intended to replace therapy but to support therapeutic reflection in a self-directed, creative way.
1. Art For Your Soul – NeuroArt Colouring Journal
This 24-page colouring journal invites users to either colour freely or explore the NeuroArt method, a calming, mindful practice that involves rounding off corners and softening edges within a drawing. Each illustration is paired with a reflective journal page to support intentional engagement and inner awareness.
2. Art For Your Soul – Half-Mandala Colouring Journal
This volume contains 32 original half-mandala illustrations, each created to support visual flow and mindful focus. Users are invited to colour intuitively or explore personal insights using the accompanying journal space. The simple format encourages gentle exploration of emotion, rhythm, and repetition.
3. Journal For Your Soul – GAMRaQ Journal
The GAMRaQ Journal is a guided tool designed to help users track Gratitude, Affirmations, Messages, Reflections, and Quotes across 52 weekly templates. It includes themed sections, creative prompts, and customisable layouts that support personal growth and intentional living without needing to start from a blank page.
4. Draw For Your Soul – Circle Animals Workbook
This 92-page workbook teaches a playful method for drawing whimsical animals using a basic circle structure, then guides readers through identifying their core personal values. The final activity involves designing a personal “totem pole” of animals representing those values. It involves a blend of creativity, self-expression, and meaning-making.
Each book was illustrated by me and laid out in Canva. The designs are intentionally simple to support accessibility and ease of use for a wide range of users of all ages, especially those who may have barriers to accessing traditional therapeutic support.
Tools used: Hand illustration, various art mediums, pen & ink, scanner, Photoshop and Canva.
